Mission

Canaan DeveLopment Foundation seeks to assist at-risk juveniles in their efforts to maintain a lifestyle that is free from criminal and substance abuse invoLvement.

Purpose

• To reduce the recidivism of juvenile offenders in Champaign County.
• The goal is to increase awareness through education and exposure by providing a setting that is therapeutic and meets the needs of delinquent youth.

History

Juvenile delinquency is growing at an alarming rate; as a result, children are exposed to drugs, violence, poverty, parental neglect, and/or abuse. Canaan Development Foundation will start the Juvenile S.A.F.E. House, which will address the causes of juvenile delinquency.
